It’s not your average walk-in place, either. It’s reservation-only with limited seating, starting at 7 pm nightly. While many might shy away from the price, you aren’t paying for a three-course meal.

30. Oleta River State Park

Along Miami’s north shore is Oleta River State Park, a thousand-acre natural preserve offering fun adventures on foot or by vessel. There are 15 miles of hiking and biking trails, with ample opportunities for fishing and paddle boarding.

The Rusty Pelican has been a landmark in Miami for years but has recently undergone a complete renovation that brings it a step above the competition.

They offer fine dining and cocktails in a waterfront establishment and tout some big-name celebrities as patrons. Try at least one of their three signature cocktails, the Belle, the Maracuya, or Up in Smoke. They also offer fun and flirty gin and tonics as a specialty.

The dishes are Latin, and their 3-Tiered Seafood Tower comes highly recommended. You’ll also find sushi, caviar frites, grilled furikake oysters, and short rib empanadas on the menu.

If you’re looking for a more romantic option, the Rusty Pelican Board for Two includes whole fried snapper, a CAB New York Strip, smoked plantain mash, and a lobster and shrimp risotto.

They offer seven different room layouts, and each one is comfortable and fun. If you happen to snag a corner, you’ll find the tub is situated with a breathtaking view of the Miami skyline or the waters of Biscayne Bay.

36. La Mar by Gastón Acurio

As mentioned in the Mandarin Oriental recommendation, La Mar by Gaston Acurio is a lovely waterfront restaurant that serves terrific Peruvian food.

While it’s on the premises of the Mandarin Oriental, you can make reservations to have a lovely meal there whenever you’d like. It’s great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a menu that offers everything from Tiraditos to Chaufa Aeropuerto.

You’ll also want to try a few of their cocktails, such as the Buen Pisco Sour and the Mojito. Pair it with one of their dessert-tasting dishes, and you have the perfect romantic date night with a view of Biscayne Bay.

37. Area 31

Like La Mar, Area 31 is also a restaurant in an upscale hotel, but it’s worth the trip! They serve local and sustainable seafood in a fun and friendly environment with great drinks. They even have an on-site herb garden.

They’re located in the Kimpton EPIC Hotel, on the roof, offering breathtaking views any time of day. The evening is especially spectacular, as the whole skyline is lit up by the various buildings that make up Miami.

Depending on the time of day, try their French Toast or Lobster Roll with a glass of champagne. For dinner, they offer grilled octopus and swordfish, as well as many other dishes you will find mouth-watering.

They’re highly recommended and well-reviewed, so it’s best to call ahead and make reservations if you want to dine outside on the patio.

While not the most romantic outing, per se, Fun Dimension offers the perfect backdrop for laughter and excitement. It’s an indoor entertainment facility with everything from arcade games to bumper cars and even laser tag. It’s a great way to let your hair down and have a memorable date!

The 15,000-square-foot facility is fully air-conditioned, making it perfect for those sweltering Florida days, and it has a full restaurant on-site for lunch or an early dinner. When you go, check the hours to see when it isn’t busy, and you’ll have the whole place to peruse until it fills up!

While new, those who have stayed say it’s a wonderful option and close to the Pérez Art Museum and the Vizcaya, with a short walk to the Bayside Marketplace and Historic Overtown. A sun terrace with drinks on site is the perfect place to wind down after a day touring Miami.

They offer several refreshing dishes for brunch, such as the Watermelon Salad, Avocado Toast, and Croquettes, as well as Brick Roasted Half Chicken and Charred Cauliflower for lunch or dinner. For something a bit different, you can try their highly recommended Guava Bread Pudding.

Reservations are recommended if you’d like outdoor seating, but with the open-air concept, it’s not necessary to get the full vibe.

The staff is phenomenal and will ensure your night out goes off without a hitch. Feel free to ask them for recommendations on choices, including which wines are best for pairing.

If you go, try the Scaloppine Capriccio or the Branzino Al Forno as your main dish and the Tiramisu or Zabaglione for dessert. Once dinner is over, walk hand in hand throughout the classiest district in Miami.

They offer delicacies like Roasted Chilean Sea Bass, Truffle Ceviche, Oysters Caviar Chalaquita, Summer Lyche, Grilled Octopus, and more. The view of South Beach is phenomenal, as is the service, so you’re sure to have a wonderful evening. 

If you’re unsure what to order, try their fixed-price menu that includes a glass of wine, a choice of three starters and entrees, and a dessert. You can pick and share your dishes, allowing double the fun for your evening out. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday for dinner and Sunday morning for brunch.
