Only 1.5 hours from Boston, these little cabins in southern New Hampshire are the ideal weekend retreat. Over 20 acres, there are a number of little cabins.

Another "tiny" getaway option is the Tuxbury Tiny House Village, which is located near the Tuxbury Pond RV Resort in South Hampton, New Hampshire. It's about an hour's drive north of Boston.

Two of the region's most popular wineries and vineyards are located in South Hampton. This is ideal for a novel and reasonably priced romance weekend.

A historic inn named the Adair Country Inn and Restaurant was constructed in 1927 for the owner's daughter's wedding. The Olmsted Brothers, the man's sons who created Central Park in NYC, created the vibrant and beautiful gardens that surround the property.

Check out one of the many treehouses available for rent in New Hampshire if you want to take glamping (or climbing up a tree) to the next level.

The Ling Treehouse's floor-to-ceiling windows give you the impression that you are outside while you are comfortably indoors.

Although this treehouse doesn't have a kitchen or bathroom (it does have an outhouse), you'll have to get by a little bit rough and tumble. However, the privacy and design will uplift your spirit.
