Pakistan is mostly a safe country for tourists, however there are certain areas you should avoid or be very cautious in.
- Balochistan province and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, including the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), due to terrorism and kidnapping.
- The Azad Kashmir area due to terrorism and the potential for armed conflict.
Be sure to not carry too much cash and exercise caution in crowded areas such as train and bus stations, airports to avoid pickpockets.
