Algarve Portugal is a dream.
Written by Town & Tourist

Can we fly again??

The pandemic is starting to ease across many parts of the world and even though travel is uncertain, that hasn’t stopped people hopping onto a flight, we only have one life after all!

However, to avoid taking a vacation to a country then ending up in lockdown or even not being allowed to enter because you don’t meet the requirements fully at Town & Tourist we have put together a list of the Best Holiday Destinations with the Lowest number of Covid restrictions.

For an overview of the situation world wide and facts regarding international travel in general, I recommend checking outs WHO’s real time data map.

Holiday destinations covid. International Travel restrictions by WHO.

The light pink areas show the least amount of travel restrictions while the dark pink areas show the most.

First glance we can see, the USA, Brazil and many parts of Europe (France, Spain, Italy) and Scandinavia have less restrictions then other countries. In addition to Australia and China (Ironic I know!).

Of course many of these restrictions depend upon the country you are traveling from also, so always check with your relevant countries foreign office. For example in the UK, we have Foreign Travel Advice. For those traveling from the US, we haveUS Citizens traveling abroadadvice here.

We have broken down the advice from both sources to compile together a list of the Best Holiday Destinations with the lowest restrictions.

Disclaimer of liability: We have aimed to provide up to date and accurate information. However, the situation is ever changing thus we strongly recommend checking the rules of your governing the country of departure and the destination country, sources above can assist.

Do you have Travel Insurance??

If you get ill or have an accident it will be a very costly experience! Especially with the pandemic still prevalent.

All Government tourist boards recommended that All travellers should have a robust travel insurance to avoid paying out thousands of dollars.

I always recommend World Nomads, I’ve used these for years.

They are the best and most reliable insurance, they also provides an unlimited medical budget!
