If you want to get in the water and tour the waves, there is a Paddle Park Trail located within the park. There are three segments that make up the trail.

Camping is also another popular activity at this State Park. There are 50 drive up campsites with full restrooms and showers available for use.

2. Aransas Bay Birding Charters

Get a close look at the famed whooping cranes and other shorebirds with Aransas Bay Birding Charters. This unique tour gets you up close to these beautiful birds.

The boat offers three decks so that you can get different vantage points for viewing the birds. The boats are designed for photographers, so don’t forget to bring your camera! There is also a shaded area for when you need a break from the sun.

They recommend choosing the tour a half hour before sunset if you are a photographer. This gets the perfect light, and you can see when the cranes go out for a feeding. They also don’t run on a set schedule, so you can get the shot you’re looking for.

The tours start at Sea Gun Marina, then to Aransas Bay, and onto Goose Island State Park. The tour ends up at the Intercoastal Waterway where you will enter the Aransas Wildlife Refuge. This is where most of the wildlife is viewed.

8. South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center

The Essex-class aircraft carrier USS Lexington, sometimes known as "The Blue Ghost," was constructed during World War II for the American Navy. It has contributed significantly to the country's security for almost 50 years.

The USS Lexington is a priceless national asset. The oldest known aircraft carrier, the USS Lexington, landed in Corpus Christi Beach in 1992 as a consequence of vigorous charitable activities and resounding support from the community.

The USS Lexington has always been completely self-sufficient.  It has never accepted money from municipal, state, or national government organizations since it opened as a naval aviation museum.

The Museum's sole source of funding has been grants, donations, entrance fees, sales from the ship's store, special events, and the youth overnight program. These earnings have paid for all costs associated with running and maintaining the ship as well as financing any major enhancements.
