11 Best Places for Snowtubing in Colorado (Location, Hours, & Cost)

Winters in Colorado can get very cold. Snow typically falls from October through May, so the winter sports season in Colorado is one of the longest in the US. Denver is the biggest airport in the state and most of the snow tubing hills and ski resorts are located within a few hours or less of this city.

The mountains of Colorado provide a beautiful backdrop to every snow tubing adventure in the state. Snow tubing in Colorado ranges in price from $15 for an hour to $84 for unlimited hours, although most places charge around $30.

The best snow tubing hill in terms of value and quality is Fraser Tubing Hill. This area receives a lot of snow each winter, making this an excellent place for snow tubing. The affordable price, the beautiful surroundings, and the proximity to Denver make Fraser a popular place to visit.

The most expensive place in Colorado to go snow tubing is at Vail’s Adventure Ridge. The amenities at this resort are top-notch and because of the price, the snow tubing is often uncrowded and easy to do. In addition, the lack of a time limit on tubing means that guests can spend all day on the hill, taking breaks at the Bistro for a bite to eat and rest.

The most affordable snow tubing location in Colorado is at the Purgatory Resort in Durango. The inexpensive ticket price makes this the best deal in the state. This resort offers many amenities and winter activities in addition to snow tubing that the whole family can enjoy.

The following list is a small sample of the most popular places in Colorado for snow tubing enthusiasts.
