3. Hot Springs National Park

8. Gulpha Gorge Campground

Gulpha Gorge is one of the best campgrounds in Arkansas, and it's only a short drive from the charming downtown Hot Springs. Beautiful hiking routes may be found in the park, and a meandering creek runs directly through the campground.

It has 30 and 50 amp complete electric hookups, as well as sewer and water, and can handle tents and RVs. There is no "pull-through" on campsites.

9. Lake Catherine State Park

One of the little lakes to the southwest of Little Rock is called Lake Catherine. There are 70 RV sites available at this secluded and quaint campsite, in addition to yurts, bungalows, and cottages.

10. Ozark Campground

There are 31 tent and drive-in campsites available, and they are all first-come, first-served. There are picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern hooks available at each of them.

During the camping season, flush toilets and water are accessible but there are no power amenities. There is a vaulted toilet in the winter, and there are no additional fees for camping.

11. Mount Nebo State Park

Compact RVs (less than 24 feet), truck campers, tented campers, and anyone looking to rent a lodge will enjoy Mount Nebo. It is tucked away in Arkansas' western region, just northwest of the Ouachita Highlands.

The Wanderlust RV Park & Cabins, which is only 5 minutes from the center of Eureka Springs, is the ideal spot to stay if you want to explore the area.

Visitors will enjoy the diversity of regional attractions, which include musical performances, art fairs, automobile, and bike rallies. There is also an abundance of dining establishments and retail stores. Just half a mile from the town are a number of hiking and mountain bike paths as well.

13. Gamaliel Campground on Norfolk Lake

Situated in The north Central Arkansas, slightly south of the Missouri border, is Gamaliel Campground on Norfolk Lake.

There are 63 total sites with room for tents, Motorhomes, rvs, and truck campers, as well as tiny house cabins that can be rented.

15. Petit Jean State Park RV and Campground

A natural and historical treasure, Petit Jean State Park has drawn tourists for many years. From Little Rock, the park is about an hour and a half away by car.

There are 125 campsites total in the campgrounds (including 26 pull-through sites). In 35 of the sites, there are 50 amp power, water, and sewer hookups; they are known as Class A sites.

Water and electricity hookups of 30 amps are available at the 90 Class B sites. All sites can be reserved, the park claims.

16. Greer’s Ferry Lake

In North Central Arkansas, there is a lake called Greer's Ferry Lake. Greer's Ferry will be among your top Arkansas Campsites if you enjoy being near the water. There are a lot of activities to enjoy here like swimming, diving, fishing, or boating.

17. Lake Ouachita National Forest

18. Lake Sylvia Recreational Area

One of the nicest camping areas in Arkansas is located one hour north of Hot Springs at Lake Sylvia Recreation Area. This location is ideal for serious trekkers who discover the Ouachita Trails while breaking into their Hiking Microspikes.

There are 27 camping spots available, 19 of which include electricity and water and 8 are tent-only. Due to the first-come, first-served nature of camping, there is a self-pay station (cash only) located directly at each site.

19. Charlton Recreation Area

One of the nicest camping areas in Arkansas is the Charlton Recreation Area, which is about 30 minutes west of Hot Springs. The Walnut Creek near Charlton, part of the Ouachita National Forest, boasts some of the clearest waters in the area.

There are three loops and a total of 46 campsites in the Charlton Recreation Area's seasonal, summer-only campground. Ten of them have sewer, electricity, and water; twenty have water and electricity; and the remaining 27 are undeveloped, or primitive, sites.

20. Devil’s Den State Park

A great area to camp in Arkansas is Devil's Den State Park. Don't let the park's somewhat eerie moniker deter you. It actually has some of the state's most breathtaking views. The state park is located south of Springdale, near the state's northwest corner.

21. Baby Bears Camp

Baby Bears Camp is the ideal location if you're searching for a quiet setting to commune with nature in all of its unadulterated glory.

To create a habitat for wildlife, the area has been purposely kept overgrown. The controlled overgrowth just adds to its appeal. Plus, there's a high chance you'll spot a few amiable species.

On the 35-acre property, most of the campsites are only accessible on foot, although there are also a few drive-in and RV sites. The campground provides guests with fishing ponds and a disc golf course, as well as fire rings in the common area.

Kings River Falls Camping is the destination to go if you're looking for peace and quiet because it is tucked away along a gravel road. However, it has absolutely no cell phone service. So, plan accordingly.

There are only a few campsites available, and each one may hold up to 8 visitors. In addition, some sites can only be reached by crossing a tiny creek.

24. Millwood State Park

One of the few sites where you can have exclusive access to Lake Leatherwood is Morningstar Camping. It is situated on a 16-acre privately owned property in northern Arkansas.

Although there are no designated campsites on the property, campers are welcome to set up their tents virtually wherever. There is a guest restroom within the main house as well.

Visitors are encouraged to unwind at their campsites and take as much time as they like to explore the hiking trails on the property. However, you should also make plans to visit the nearby town of Eureka Springs! It has a wonderful historic district full of Victorian-era homes.
