Everyone loves going out to eat, especially while on vacation… and dining out during a “restaurant week” (or a “restaurant month”) is a great opportunity to try new culinary delights at an affordable price! Note that tax, beverages, alcohol, and tips are generally not included in the quoted price and restaurants book up quickly so reservations are definitely encouraged.
January Restaurant Week
Now in its seventh year, California’s Restaurant Month is the perfect showcase for California’s amazing bounty of culinary deliciousness. Restaurants across the state will be offering deals and special menus at various times during the month.
This year, 36 regions and cities are participating, each having their own restaurant week—lasting anywhere from a week to 10 days—during the month of January.
During each weeklong celebration, various restaurants offer special deals, such as affordable prix fixe menus for lunch and/or dinner, or discounted meals.
Baltimore Restaurant Week #BaltRW returns January 13—22, 2017. Enjoy 2-course lunch and brunch menus for under $20, and 3-course dinner menus for under $35 at over 100 Baltimore restaurants. Many restaurants also include special priced menus for wine and beer pairings as well.
New York City, New York
New York City Restaurant Week is held twice a year, during the early winter and again in the summer. This year’s winter event will be held from January 23—February 10, 2017. Participating restaurants will be offering prix fixe lunches and dinners. At the finest restaurants, the menu during restaurant week can be just a fraction of the usual prices. Restaurant Week began in NYC as a lunch-only promotional event in 1992 and is considered the first “restaurant week” which has now inspired various cities across the globe to create their own version.
From January 22-27 and January 29-February 3, participating restaurants will offer three-course dinners for only $35 per person. In addition, many participating restaurants will also offer a three-course lunch for $20.
