The World’s Only Blobfest
Phoenixville, PA | July 13th-15th, 2018
The annual Phoenixville Blobfest commemorates the classic 1958 movie The Blob that had a famous scene filmed at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Events for the Phoenixville Blobfest kick off on Friday night with the notorious “run-out” recreation at the Colonial Theatre, followed by a Blobfest Ball later that evening, and a Blobfest Festival that continues throughout the weekend with music, food, and vendors that are often quite a bit out of this world.

An Amazing Statewide Lavender Farm Tour

July is a terrific month to visit a lavender farm … and, if you are lucky enough to be in Oregon during the second weekend of July, you won’t want to miss the annual Oregon Lavender Farm Tour which is held the second weekend of July. This statewide event features lavender farms and nurseries all over the state, some of which are only open during the tour. During the tour weekend, many locations will offer special activities ranging from lavender-oriented classes to mini-festivals featuring music, food, vendors … and, of course, lavender.
Vermont Brewers Festival

The Great Texas Balloon Race is considered by many pilots to be the best event on the circuit. In fact, the Great Texas Balloon Race has earned Longview the official designation as “The Balloon Capital of Texas” by the Governor of Texas in 1985; and, in 2013, Gregg County was proclaimed “The Balloon Race Capital of Texas” by the 83rd Texas Legislature.
